I fell in love with this book after reading karey m.’s post about it last week and exploring the gorgeous pages more on the Anthropologie website. I, too, thought perhaps they accidentally added one zero too many in the price (I’m still hoping that’s the case). And I’ve come face to face with some of these Monsters of the Household Variety. Let me tell you, that remote control monster, he can be quite a pain in the butt.

And the sock stealing monster? We’ve had some words before.

Ruth Ashton is the creative genius behind this book and I’ve been marveling at her beautiful creations all morning. There’s the unnoticeable spelling mistake monster. He and I know each other quite well, I’m sorry to say. He’s been lurking around all morning. How do I know? It took me four tries to type the word ‘soap’ — luckily, I was too quick for his craftiness today.

Stop by Ruth’s site to meet the rest of the monsters. And please tell the monster under the bed “hello.”
{first four images from Anthropologie, last from Ruth Ashton’s site, praise to and all hail karey m. for the brilliant find}

I just LOVE this book too, it’s beautiful, just so beautiful. I love all the detailing.
wow wow wow. incredible!
Holy moly! It is quite pricey isn’t it? I suppose they’re positioning it as a work of art—which it is, to be sure. What a lovely, fun, creative idea. Why don’t I have these more often?

i KNOW! i keep wishing there’s been some sort of mistake…
but it’s really taken me in a few different inspirational directions, you know? like all the best art does, i think. xoxo.
