I would love to go on weekend adventures in these dresses from Ouma.

I’ll be spending the next two days running some errands, doing some schoolwork, and working on other odds and ends to get myself back to being super-organized after my trip out to LA last weekend. I’ve been so behind!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! (Plan something special — even if it’s just chilling in front of the fireplace or spending time with your family.)

I collect photos of awesome rooms. I plan to use them all one day as inspiration for my home.

Right now, I’ve been looking them over, trying to find some inspiration for my current dining area.  I definitely need a bigger table and more chairs. I’d love to have parties here, have people over, set up a table overflowing with freshly baked desserts… Maybe something like one of these rooms to dine in.

Lots of dishes, bowls, glasses…they’re a must.

I wish I could paint the walls in this sad creme colored apartment I live in.

I’m wild for these fun and witty cards from Pop + Shorty.  I need a stash of some birthday cards.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this statement since I’ve come across it two days ago. I wanted to put a picture in this post, but I couldn’t find anything that seemed appropriate, so I made the quote into its own picture.

But back to the quote. There’s a lot of dimensions to it, don’t you agree? When I first read it, I thought a lot about my life and what I want to accomplish (I’m still figuring that out). And the more I thought, the more resonance it had for me. It made me think of the way Karey weaves her beautiful tapestries of language about her life (I fear she’s docking me points for my capital usage — I’m sorry!), Lauren‘s seeming boundless enthusiasm for everything (I’m so happy this girl has some guilty pleasures), and so many other wonderful bloggers and people out there who are so talented (I named two among so many — I wanted to name you all). The real genius of all of them is the way they balance all that they do. Love is the highest priority, the rest follows and sorts itself.

What do you think?

Bethan Laura Wood is a designer who likes to play with concepts, ones like this: sometimes when you use something, you make it better.

Say hello to Stain, a fantastic cup and saucer set made by Bethan.

Bethan’s shop isn’t open yet, but you can contact her if you’re interested in making a purchase.  How wonderful would a set of these be?

Three Rings Design makes online games. I think I might have a hard time actually working if this was my office, though I certainly wouldn’t mind spending my days in what looks like a re-creation of a Victorian submarine (albeit a much cooler, much larger one that isn’t in the water).

I really hope that portal is the door. That would just be smashing.

When I took a career aptitude test in high school, it told me that I should go into farming. I’ve actually toyed around with the idea recently (it’d be nice to have a little garden in my future backyard, wherever that might be). But I wish I had known that Prop Stylist was a possibility. I’m constantly smitten by what prop stylists do. Lynsey Fryers is a great example, don’t you agree?

Oh, I miss my ice skates. I think it’s time I had them shipped from New Jersey.

I’m going up to LA this weekend to see a good friend from college and some other awesome ladies. Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you around the internets on Monday!

One day, when I have a kitchen of my own, I’m going to tile it with Moroccan tiles from Emery & Cie. I don’t know what color I’ll choose — someone will probably have to persuade me to NOT choose blue (oh, but those shades of blue are so wonderful). Then again, the green is quite stunning…

And if the tiles weren’t tempting enough, Emery & Cie also has lighting, furniture, tableware…do you see the problem we’re going to have here? So many beautiful things, and I don’t live in Morocco to theme an entire house with them.

My latest creation:

Strawberry scones, modeled on the one I ate last week at Extraordinary Desserts.

I used this recipe (minus the chocolate chips), shaped the dough, cut each piece in half, put the strawberries in, and baked them. They’re so deliciously soft.
