I not-so-secretly would like to move back to Manhattan some day (M and I have talked about this). Likely not for too long: I don’t think I’d last in those tiny apartments. Now, if I could get a place like this one, for oh, say $1600/month in rent, I might just stay in New York City forever.

This former Con Edison building belongs to horror movie director Marcus Nispel and his family. It’s the bookcases that have stolen my heart here.

Oh, there’s even a pool in the basement.

MORE LIKE A TRILLION A MONTH. It is dreamy isn’t it? Oh MY. I was gazing at buildings on 16th between Union Sq. West and 7th the other day. I had to leave immediately I was getting anxious thinking about living in a place such as this one!!
Exposed brick, high ceilings, bookshelves up the ceilings, pot rack. aoweifaskdfja;lskdfjaoiw. The pool is a nice little bonus;)
That bookshelf – oh my. Floor to ceiling! Exposed brick is so gorgeous and something I could never have in my current apartment. But definitely the kitchen is what captured me, and I don’t even spend that much time in the kitchen!
$1600 in Manhattan would be quite a challenge. I hear most studios go for that much!
I want all of those books!! Happy Friday!! Have a great weekend!!
That IS gorgeous!! When I lived in NY I’d visit my friend in the city and she had the tiniest apt I ever did see. She had to be very creative with her storage. I’ll never forget that place!
Your $1600 bid made me laugh. How would one get to your books up that high? Put your least favorites up there I suppose, and/or keep a ladder handy. I love it though. Especially the library card catalog-esque thing under the mirror.
The pool inside is to die for. I have loved nice indoor pools since seeing the movie “Meet Joe Black.”
I love this place because of the bookshelves. That is my dream to have floor to ceiling bookshelves.
I fell in love with this place the first time I saw it. Amazing. Love all the exposed brick.
I can’t get over the pool, wow! that’s my dream…to have an indoor pool (well, if i’m really dreaming it’s to have an indoor/outdoor pool that you can swim between each
And I’m with you Brandi…love the bookcases, would love those in my house…but then I just think of all the dusting it would need!
seriously! what an incredible apartment! when you rent there, can i come visit?
I love how the charm of the past has been preserved, yet the kitchen and other elements are so new and modern. Love this place!
love those bookshelves!
That bookshelf is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen in a home. WOW. This is absolutely my dream house.
I almost moved to NYC. There is no way I could ever get my M to move there now, but a girl can dream.
Hmm.. $1,600 … Me too! This place is pefect!! I love, love that fire place. Have a great weekend Brandi
What?! This place is amazing. Loving those bookshelves too. I would totally forget to read the one’s at the top though:)
This is amazing. I love the bookshelves. And the pool. Pretty awesome.
Just loved this post… coming from SITS. Random, but are you going to Bloggy Boot Camp in Baltimore?
