Barry Underwood’s work has this wonderfully unique and ethereal quality to it. It’s like stepping into a different world, where when the sun goes down, the landscape around you begins to glow.

People would leave streaks, you could see paths, watch things grow and move…

I think it’s time to get outside and see those summer fireflies before they disappear.

Wow, these are amazing. Thanks for sharing xx
This is amazing! I love the second one.
So amazing…he really captures the beauty of the landscape as well as adding fantasy elements. thanks for sharing as always! =)
Oh, I want to be able to see fireflies again. Love the last photo. It’s so magical.
aw this is so sweet! i wish we had fireflies in san diego!
This is so magical! I mean, I have no clue how this happens so I will call it magic (haha, I have a three year old brain). And I totally want to do a post on fireflies. They really need to be all over the world, not just certain places.
Soo pretty & magical! It does feel like you’re stepping into a fairy tale, just looking at these pictures. Wow
I wish there were fireflies here…hope you get to spot some, Brandi!
those are gorgeous, magical photos! love them. and thanks for your super sweet comment today! it made my morning.
oooh, this takes me back to one of my favorite children’s books, where people all disappear into the woods (sparkling and alive), and dance the night away, ruining their shoes! Can’t recall the name of that book.
looks so dreamy. that second photo is my fave. i’d love to just sit there and be. one of my favorite things about summer are fireflies. They just make me happy seeing them all sparkly and glowing. They really do bring about peace and tranquility especially when you’re sitting out on a nice, quiet, summer evening.
Those are gorgeous and unique indeed! If I were there I would feel like a fairy
WOW…that last photo has me speechless. It’s stunning. I’ve never heard of him before – thanks for introducing me. It’s like a magical place he’s creating!
Loving the glowing photos–especially that last one, it really takes you back to childhood, doesn’t it? Hoping you’re having a wonderful week Brandi!

ps ready for some more tea?
that is great work… love those lights hanging from the trees… wish in Miami we had fireflies but i think it’s too hot for them in here…
Summer fireflies are one of my favorite things about night time. I remember being so surprised when I didn’t see them as often in NY as I would when I lived abroad. Little light trails at night just have this ethereal feel about them that makes me think I’m living in Peter Pan’s Neverland forest at night or something.
V.inspiring work inst it?! i loved it heaps. and thanks so much for the cool mention Brandi! julesx
Reminds me of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Lovely!
Oh my, these are all so magical!
