Party? Planned.

As much as I love my Google Calendar, I have to admit that sometimes the tactile is simply better. I love being able to jot things down in bright colors in a real calendar, and this one from Laurel Denise is brilliant.

The layout is brilliant. Your monthly calendar is always in view. Next to it is your weekly schedule; to the right, a weekly to-do list. These narrow pages flip to reveal the next weekly schedule and weekly to-do list. Farther on the right are areas for notes and a monthly to-do list. All kinds of smart, no?

I can’t imagine a better way to plan my social life and parties, so I really can’t wait to start using my planner. But speaking of parties, Laurel Denise has given me a little gift to give to you: a party planner PDF. Just in time for the holidays.

I’m sure you can take care of the guest list and I’ll have more recipes for you soon.  In the meantime, go snag your favorite color 2012 planner from Laurel Denise.

What parties are you planning right now?

I would like to arrange a dinner party soon. Fall seems like a good time to gather folks.

This is so perfect for the holidays!

I love planners. They somehow make life a little more manageable.

That’s a really clever planner design … I like that. I’m adding it to my Christmas wishlist. They’re very reasonably priced too – wow!

Le sigh! I think this has me feeling slighlty wistful at having shifted to the whole iPhone e-world. It’s so convenient, but you stop getting to indulge in these tactile, magical papery theings. How I love paper ephemera, and find less and yet less of it in my life. I shall have to find space and purpose for it elsewhere, even if it isn’t in Calendar form!

There’s something to be said about writing things down, no? As much as I love my laptop and iPad and all of gadgets, nothing is as fulfilling as filling up a calendar by hand.

I had so much fun being Holly Golightly for Halloween that I want to throw a 60s themed party at my house! How fun would it be to dress up as characters from Mad Men, Bewitched and all of those great, great movies from way back then? And the music! It would sound like a Pottery Barn store during the holidays.

Actually, YES, that is all kinds of nifty. I’ve never seen a planner that lets you see the full month while also allowing room for a weekly schedule. This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. Thank you!

That could well be THE best planner I’ve ever laid eyes on. Thinking I might need to order it now!

I wish I could come to a party at your place…

It is beautiful to see your life, organised, on paper. It feels much more tangible. Bit hard to fit in a clutch, but perfect for a home office… now… you were saying about the food?

It’s a pleasure to *meet* your blog!

Yes, yes, YES! I have been trying to track down a decent planner for quite some time – and this one is golden! Thank you :)

I guess I need to make a Christmas list now! Seriously, this calendar is really clever–I have been lamenting my weekly planner lately because I’ve almost missed a few deadlines, but I cannot seem to work with a monthly layout alone and definitely fail at using e-calendars of any sort (and I have tried them all). This calendar seems to be the perfect combination. If only I could start using it today!

Oh dear. I so absolutely love this. It is such a terrible temptation {and a welcome one…} I too love my google calendar but nothing beats paper and pen!

That’s a very attractive looking planner! I find that’s half my battle – I can never find something that’s aesthetically pleasing, and has enough room in it for me to write away! So I stick to iCal and carry around a blank sketchbook which I date as needed.

This is so cute!! And so functional!! Thank you for the suggestion! :)

planners are my absolute favorite! i’ve been using different ones every year for over 10 years and love looking back on the plans and colorful ink :) this planner looks very nice. i like the to-do list detail, clean design, and all the room for writing. hoping to purchase a 2012 planner soon.

i always use a spreadsheet for my calendar – but find myself more & more writing things down in a planner! there’s something about actually putting pen to paper. love the simple, cool design to these!!

  • bink & boo

Oh I love this! I do love my g-cal but I much prefer to write things down and visually see what I have to do and how I wrote it.

    Wishing you sunshine & cheer!

No matter how technology advances, I will always have and need a little planner to write in. Can’t live without it!

love that planner! i always get laughed at for my little moleskine day planner but it’s so much easier for me to keep track of things there than in my stupid blackberry!
