Wide open spaces. Orchards. The rustle of wind in the trees. I’ve been craving these things lately, so much that I’m beginning to wander if I need to consider moving to a home with a little farm or garden. At the same time, I do love my big city apartment and all the excitement being in a place like Washington, DC brings.

So instead, I’m considering injecting some old-fashioned farm style into my current pad, starting with a wood farm table. Wood and I have a love affair going on. I wonder if it’s because I’m an Earth sign — it just sings to me. The creativity flows when I write at a wooden desk or table. And the more rustic, the more enchanted I become.

You make me dream with this post, maybe because I’m an Earth sign too (Taurus)!
))
I love tranquillity, but as a 30 years old, I love also the dynamics of the big cities. I would love to live in a small and delicious house immersed in nature… one day. For now I’m enjoying my Milan’s chaotic life
We Earth signs just totally connect to natural materials, don’t we? Our dreams sound so similar, Natalie. I’m constantly torn between a big city and quiet country home. But I do think that we can have the best of both worlds if we want to.
I am in love with these two pictures. As someone who lives in the country, I have always loved the simplicity you can find in some of the homes here. I love the idea of having a home filled with wood and light, there’s nothing that looks better to me than those two things combined!
I’m in love with rustic tables. I’ve decided it’s a must in my house. My sister in law has one and I love taking photos on it.
I feel the same about spaces filled with natural wood and rustic fabrics–burlap, lace, linen, muslin. It’s like I’m home and settled and I can write or create for ages, or simply curl up with a story and a cup of tea. Someday I’ll have a home to fill with them…until then, I keep the stack of secondhand tea towels and lace folded on my desk.
Sounds like a sensational plan! Agreed re: wooden tables and creativity. Funny that!
I’m sitting at a big wooden farm table at my city apartment right now so I think both of us must have excellent taste. Let me know which one you end up getting
