One of my favorite parts about working with Ana of BlogMilk on her awesome WordPress theme designs (she designs, I code) is that I’ve met some truly incredible people in the process.

Elizabeth of Your Highest Self was particularly special though. “Meeting” her was like finding one of the long-lost members of my tribe. She’s a fountain of inspiration and positivity, so I wanted to share her site with you. You’ve got a weekend — start wandering around her little home on the web.

She recently finished penning an incredibly charming eBook that has totally motivated me to take better care of myself and regain some of the balance I’ve lost recently.

Yet another amazing Aussie. I think that means I’ll have to take a trip to Australia in the near future!!! I know Naomi and Kate (who also has an awesome eBook) will love this idea…

P.S. If you’re thinking about revamping or flairing your blog/website to make it even more awe-inspiringly amazing (just like you are), Ana and I are totally a Dynamic Duo for WordPress. She’s a Blogger superhero too. We’ve got you covered.

Last night, I decided that I would take a mental health day and play hooky from work today.

I won’t lie: the predicted 58-degree weather might have had something to do with it. But really, I’ve been feeling overworked, over-scheduled, even over archeried (yes, I just made archery into a very Lewis Carroll-like verb).

The next few hours will be spent at an insanely awesome cafe in Alexandria, VA. I’ve been crafting my perfect day for the last five hours: a hot cup of tea followed by some time at the gym, a barre class, a long hot shower, some reading, a delicious breakfast, a meditation session, and a sunny drive filled with good music.

Yeah, I’m totally in the flow right now.

And I can tell you what the rest of my day will bring: more awesomeness. A walk on the National Mall. Lunch at a museum. Light. Joy. Laughter. Freedom.

I’m going to order up days like this more often.

What is your ideal playing hooky day like?

These days, nothing enters my closet unless (1) it makes me feel beautiful and (2) the fabric doesn’t get caught in my bow when I’m shooting. But once I saw these pieces from the Zuhaur Murad Haute Couture Spring 2013 collection, I knew I’d figure out the logistics of archery in these dresses.

Let’s face it: they’d put me that much closer to being an ancient Greek goddess. I can just hear Mount Olympus calling…

I was always fond of Artemis. And Athena. Oh, let’s face it: they’re all good fun.

Which Greek goddess’ character traits do you desire to embody most?
