I missed spring. Almost entirely it feels when I look back on the time. I spent my spring in classrooms and lecture halls, writing papers and lesson plans. All that means that I never got to put into place a lot of things I had been thinking about for my blog. Therefore, summer cleaning.

There are a few little changes you’ll see on here — I’m giving myself an editorial calendar to make sure I can address the things I want to, while at the same time still having the freedom I want with my content. So on Mondays, you’ll see Meditations. There will be Daydreams on Wednesdays and Gratitude posts on Fridays. Saturdays I’m going to give you a dose of video inspiration with the Spark (and I’m disabling comments for those posts because I want you to go out and do fun things on the weekend rather than spend any time leaving me comments, though I do love them so). Tuesdays and Thursdays are free-for-alls, with posts about food, home design, fashion, discoveries, good books…whatever I feel like it. I hope you like it. I think you will. And obviously, this could all change, but right now, I feel good.

How are you feeling today?

A little bird (in the form of a twitter message) brought me some good news last week: I’ve been named one of the top 5 San Diego Designer Blogs. The mention will be in the January Issue of San Diego Magazine, and I have to tell you I’m still giddy with excitement. Especially given that I’m included with some dear friends — Heather of La Feem and Julia of San Diego Songbirds — Alexis of Fern and Feather (a new friend) and Mrs. Lilien, a blogger I really admire.

Wild, no?

A huge thank you to San Diego Magazine!
